Step-free access to garden and ground floor of museum only. Working guidance and assistance animals are welcome in all buildings. Toilets are available in the Old Cyder House (there are no toilets in the main house).
The Museum set in a beautiful Georgian house and gardens is the place where Edward Jenner discovered the vaccination for smallpox, a devastating disease which has now been totally eradicated throughout the world.
He died in 1823 and is buried in the chancel of the parish church.
