A lovely peaceful little town lying on the edge of the Fens and the River Ouse has some interesting buildings and a unique neo-Gothic clock tower dated 1878.
There have been many important Romano-British pottery finds in this area.
The church of St Edmund has a lovely spire and the wooden 18th century west gallery has an ancient Gothic crucifix.
