A beautiful northwest Highland village in a setting of mountain and loch where Loch Duich meets the beautiful Loch Long. The road bridge spans the Loch Long and links to Ardelve on Loch Alsh. A little to the north of Dornie on Loch Long is the clachan of Bundalloch where byres of several old crofters’ cottages once known as ‘black houses’ are still to be found. Facing Loch Duich with a view to Totaig on the opposite side of the loch is the picturesque Eilean Donan Castle.
