URPoint Details
A charming village of red-brick, mostly 19th century, and where the Church of St Peter stands beside Doddington Hall.
The church rebuilt in 1770 by Sir John Deleval, then owner of the hall, as a fitting burial place for his daughter who died suddenly. Later, when Sir John’s only so died, the church was painted black for the funeral, and traces can still be seen.
