Ditchling Beacon is 813ft high and an Iron Age earthworks.
The common covers 188 acres of open countryside and supports a host of varied wildlife, best seen from the circular nature trail that begins at the car park. In spring, bluebells and wood anemones carpet the common, followed in May by the glorious sunshine of yellow gorse.
