Disley The Church of St Mary the Virgin dates from the 15th century and rebuilt in the 19th century. The nave has a timbered roof of exceptional beauty, with bosses and angels. There is a German stained glass in the east window mainly from the 16th century. There is a monument to Thomas Legh of nearby Lyme Park, by the 19th century sculptor Alfred Gatley.
