Dundee's main attraction is centred around Royal Research ship 'Discovery', Captain Scott's famous Polar exploration ship.

There are some spectacular displays and exhibits and special effects recreate the historic voyages of ˜Discovery'- built in Dundee at the turn of the last century to take Scott to the ends of the earth - such as the ship's rescue from the ice by the Dundee whaler 'Terra Nova' and the 'Morning'.

Visitors can step on board 'Discovery' herself, and experience life below decks and feel the atmosphere of the Ward Room where Scott and his officers talked of the perils of a journey to where no man had gone before.
