URPoint Details
A sprawling village with farmland scattered with little farms and farmhouses, and being a fairly flat area the sunsets and sunrises are quite spectacular. The name of Denham means wooded hamlet.
The church of St John is 14th century and was much larger and included a Bedingfield chapel.
The village has a rare oddity in that the boundary line between Denham and Hoxne goes down the centre of the road, this caused some problems for addresses etc. One family suffered more than most as their house was in Hoxne and their outside lavatory at the bottom of the garden was in Denham.
