This splendid manor set amidst surrounding parkland is a delight to the eye and typifies the English Tudor and Regency manor house. Mainly dating from the 16th century, with more rooms completed in the reign of George III, it encompasses a courtyard and has been in the Brudenell family since 1514.
One of their illustrious ancestors, The Earl of Cardigan, was noted for his valiant leadership in the Charge of the Light Brigade in 1854, and a tribute to his charger, Ronald is within the house.
