URPoint Details
The Church of St Peter and St Paul tower's gilded vanes and eight pinnacles make a colourful declaration of its presence, overlooking the market square. The tower replaced its medieval predecessor which fell in 1634. The body of the church dates from the 13th and 14th century and was restored in the 19th century. See the 13th century sedilia and piscina with detailed leaf capitals, in the chancel. A 17th century interpretation of Gothic is expressed in the fan-vaulted north porch.
