Danesfield House is the third house since 1664 to occupy this remarkable setting in 65 acres of magnificent gardens overlooking the River Thames.
The house and gardens were designed and built in sumptuous style at the end of the 19th century. They were built for Robert Hudson of soap family fame and it is rumoured they cost most of his fortune. Indeed he sold it after completion.
After years of neglect this remarkable house and gardens have been fully restored. The interior has been restored to its former glory and the views from the house remain unspoilt.
The 55 bedrooms, many with original fireplaces and outstanding views, offer a haven of peace. The public and private dining room are individually furnished.
