The home of the Earls of Roseberry for over 300 years, but the present Tudor Gothic building, by William Wilkins dates from 1815.
Interior Gothic splendour of hammer beamed hall, vaulted corridors and classical main rooms.
Works of art include a magnificent collection of 18th century British portraits, 18th century furniture, tapestries, porcelain from the Rothschild Mentmore collection and the Napoleon collection.
The grounds are lovely and there is a 4.5m shore walk.
