Built as a chapel for Dalkeith Palace in 1843 by William Burn and David Bryce in the Early English style with many splendid features
The double hammerbeam roof, glorious stained glass, heraldic floor tiles by Minton and the only working water-powered Hamilton organ in Scotland are all worth seeing.
