The village on the River Eden is also known as Dairsiemuir or Osnaburgh and lies just south of the Cupar to St Andrews road.
The bridge that spans the river dates from 1522, and the ruined castle of Dairsie is above the stream.
The little church dates from 1621.
Dura Glen is a delightful wooded area where fossilised fishes have been discovered.
To the north is the 16th century Pitcullo Castle.
