URPoint Details
The church has 2 suits of armour hanging in the aisle to commemorate the battle between King Charles I and the Cromwell army. The brass lectern is adorned by an eagle and at the bottom of the lectern there are now only 2 brass and 1 bronze lions. The story goes that the villagers hid the lectern for safe keeping in the river Cherwell for safety, and when it was recovered years later one of the lions was missing.
