URPoint Details
The village was mentioned in the Domesday Book as Craohu. It had been held by a Saxon, Alwin, before being given to Odo of Bayeux and held for him, by a man named Hugh.
The first reference to a church occurs in 1254, and the building raised in the 13th century lasted until 1873 when the present church was built.
