Parking bays for disabled drivers at Visitor Centre and garden disabled passengers may be set down on level gravel on house forecourt before car is parked in car park, 100 yards from house. Grounds: some paths unsuitable or difficult for wheelchairs but cars may drive around the Park (6 miles) accessible pathway, parking and adapted picnic tables at Nelly's Moss lake. Vickers Rooms restaurant thick handled cutlery available. Toilets in Visitor centre, house and Crozier car park. Disabled visitors advised to avoid Sundays.
The remarkable Orchard House, ferneries, rose loggia and Italian garden are a short walk from the house. The restored 19th century clock tower can also be seen by visitors to the garden.
