URPoint Details
Coveney Church of St Peter-Ad-Vincula (Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust). This highly attractive little church was built in the 13th and 14th centuries. A magnificent, extremely colourful German screen of around 1500 depicts scenes of the passion of Christ. The painted pulpit, dated 1706, is Danish and the 16th century bench ends reveal an extremely unusual collection of figures. All this, together with the fine brass chandelier and a 19th century screen, gives an overall impression if opulence.
