URPoint Details
Cottenham All Saints Church (Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust). The unusual tower of this 15th century church is of yellow and pink Jacobean brick rising to four pineapple-like pinnacles. The original tower collapsed in gales and was rebuilt with donations from former president Calvin Coolidge. His ancestor, John Coolidge, had been a young boy in the village when the tower fell down. Another Cottenham boy was Thomas Tenison who became Archbishop of Canterbury.
