URPoint Details
A village on Loch Eil where the narrows lead into the loch and looking across to Fort William are the eight locks on the Caledonian Canal, known as ‘Neptune’s Staircase’.
A little to the west is Kilmallie Church where an obelisk to the memory of Col. John Cameron with whom Prince Charles Edward once stayed and the inscription thought to be one from Sir Walter Scott.
The ‘Road to the Isles’ leads west from here to Glenfinnan.
