Cornice Museum - Peebles

Open all year, Monday to Thursday 10.30am-noon & 2-4pm. Friday 10.30am-noon & 2-3.30pm (closed weekends and holidays. Donation welcome; WC; car park; disabled access.

The museum is a plasterer’s casting workshop, virtually unchanged since the turn of the last century and illustrates the main methods of creating ornamental plasterwork in Scotland at that time. It also displays probably the largest surviving collection of ‘masters’ in Scotland.
