URPoint Details
The entrance arch to the south porch and the lower portion of the western wall of the tower with its triple lancets are believed to be relics of the Cistercian Abbey of Aberconwy which Edward I removed to Maenan higher up the river in order to make room for his new castle and town.
A floor slab in the chancel commemorates Nicholas Hookes, who was the forty-first child of his father and was himself a father of twentyseven.
