Three bridges cross the estuary in the castellated city of Conwy, one of the bridges designed by Thomas Telford in 1826, another by George Stephenson.
The Castle and its great walls surround the town was built by Edward I in 1248 and one of the most impressive Welsh castles.
On the corner of High Street and Castle street is a house reputedly the oldest building in Wales dating from 1500.
