Free access all times; picnic area.
A famous rhododendron garden of 20 acres, adjacent to Colonsay House, home to Lord Strathcona. In the woods surrounding the house, rocks, streams and contours of land have been used to create a natural woodland garden where native trees and rare rhododendrons, bluebells and mecanopsis flourish together. Due to the mildness of the climate, and the shelter of the woods, many tender and rare shrubs from all parts of the world grow happily including mimosa, eucalyptus and palm trees.
