A small place on the Kyles of Bute where in former times cattle were made to swim across the narrows, now a road leads through Glen Daruel to Strachur.
Near Colintraive are the low, rocky Burnt Islands and to the north of the island stand the two stones of ‘The Maids of Bute’.
