The beautiful remains of Coldingham Priory built in the 12th century on the site of an even older 7th century nunnery dedicated to St Ebba.
There is some fine Early English arcading and the restored Choir is in use as a Parish Church.
The walled up skeleton of a woman, supposedly a nun, was found here in the early 19th century.
