URPoint Details
Mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086 as Nortona and has remained a small village ever since.
There is a story about the high fertility rate in the area which is rather interesting. Theory has it that the village sits on a ley line (magnetic force in the earth's crust). In prehistoric times fertility rites were conducted at stone circles which marked the lines where the leys crossed.
