Open April to October, Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday & Bank Holiday Monday 1-5pm. Small admission charge. Disabled parking nearby; barn accessible. Toilets next to Barn. The structure, including main aisle posts, may be touched.

Magnificent 120ft long timber-framed barn dating from 1140 is the oldest surviving timber-framed barn in Europe. It was originally part of the Cistercian Monastery of Coggeshall, restored in the 1980s, and features a small collection of farm carts and wagons.
