The Church of St Peter is a Grade I listed building. There has been a church at Clyffe Pypard since the 13th century. The west tower, nave and aisles with rood and screens are all 15th century. There are some fine old glass, two chalk monuments and a painted screen. The building is mainly from the 15th century but the chancel was rebuilt in 1860 by William Butterfield, who carried out further restoration for the Goddard family in 1873–74. The organ installed in 1873 is by Eustace Ingram.
