URPoint Details

A lovely little village with a pond, pretty thatched cottages first mentioned in the Domesday Book.

The All Saints church dates back to the 1300's. During the First World War Australian troops used the Baptist Chapel as a cookhouse. The chapel was built by a straw plait merchant called Lenton, who gave work to the locals. The building became known as sore fingers chapel.
