The beautiful garden of the 14th century Clevedon Court rises behind the house, on two terraces. Originally these south-facing terraces had espaliered fruit trees but now have tender species such as the Judas tree, Strawberry tree, Canna iridiflora, palms, myrtle, fuchsias and wonderful magnolias. A Gothick summerhouse on one of the terraces counterbalances an 18th century garden house on the other. The wooded area of ilex is above the terraces.
