Charming cluster of 11 hamlets make up this lovely village with thatch cottages, fine buildings, a forded stream and the most beautiful Dolls House.
This delightful village is frequented often by artists and photographers as the scenery is just wonderful.
The castle was built for Robert Fitz Wymarc before the invasion in 1066. All that remains today is an extensive system of earthworks surrounding the square moat where the keep would have been.
The 8 acres of castle green is in unspoilt settings and worth a visit.
