A path upstream leads to the grounds of Ingleborough Hall. After about 1½ miles the path reaches Ingleborough Cave, extending for another third-of-a-mile beside rivulets and crystal clear pools and decorated with stalactites and stalagmites, beautiful and unusual in colour and formation.
Gaping Gill, the most dramatic of Yorkshire’s potholes, where water roars down in a single jet 365ft to the floor.
