On the west side of the Tywi valley nestles the village of Cilycwm, its little streets bright with white and colour-washed cottages, standing beside the River Gwenlas.
The 15th-century church is framed by ancient yew trees and inside the church are medieval frescoes and old box pews.
The Methodist chapel is believed to be the first meeting house ever established in Wales.
