URPoint Details
Although the area has seen extensive development over the last few years, parts of the old village still remain at The Green, which is surrounded by a scatter of old cottages and the old thatched school house.
This part of Churchdown nestles on the slopes of Chosen Hill, a prominent feature of the Vale, which rises to 800ft and affords splendid views to Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Worcester, with the Malverns and to the Abberley Hills and Brecon Beacons beyond.
Pre-historic earthworks on the summit were later occupied by the Romans and right on the top of the hill is St Bartholomew's Church, which is Norman in origin.
