URPoint Details
St Wilfrid’s Church, (Churches Conservation Trust)
What appears to be a simple cemetery chapel is in fact the 13th century chancel of a large Norman church, removed to the centre of the ever growing resort of Selsey in 1864. The church standing on a pre-Norman site beside Pagham Harbour has in the north wall a canopied 16th century tomb portraying the kneeling figures of John Lewis and his wife Agnes and also the gruesome martyrdom of St Agatha.
Grade I Listed building.
