URPoint Details
A delightful little village, in a valley setting with a charming pub by a long green off the main road.
The area is historic and on the ridge of Bow Hill are two concentric ramparts on the site of an Iron Age hill fort, Goosehill Camp.
At Kingley Vale 2½ miles south of the village there is a striking yew wood which supposedly marks the graves of Danes killed in battle.
