A small quiet village with a church with a tall spire, and from the church you can see for miles over the downs,. On a clear day it is possible to pick out the chalky outline of the Long Man of Wilmington – a giant figure cut out of the turf above Wilmington.
Inside the church is an enormous monument to members of the Jefferay family with 2 large standing figures in elaborate Elizabethan dress.
