URPoint Details
A remarkable ridge which extends almost 12 miles from Portland to Abbotsbury and in a lesser form for another 5 miles to a point near Bridport, and composed mainly of graduated pebbles.
Bathing on this beach is dangerous.
It is separated from the mainland by a channel known as the East and West Fleet.
