URPoint Details
A village in the hills set among deep winding lanes.
The name is derived from the Anglo-Saxon words Cyric and tun meaning ‘church farm’.
There are some fine buildings including the almshouses of 1594, thatched cob cottages built around the green, and a 15th century church.
