The ground floor of the house is accessible. The café, workshop Pottery, shop, galleries and toilets are fully accessible with some ramped entrances. Some areas around the grounds are uneven. There are gravel paths around the site.
17th - 18th century farmhouse at the foot of the South Downs, which was the home of artists Vanessa and Clive Bell and Duncan Grant, well-known as members of The Bloomsbury Set. The house and its contents are attractively and unusually decorated by the artists. There is a traditional flint-walled garden and well-restored garden room.
