URPoint Details
A small village on the high downs a mile or so off the Newbury to Wantage road. Catmore consists of only a cluster of houses and the church of St. Margaret. This building was heavily restored in 1850 when its modest interior was made into a very elaborate and showy example of a Victorian Norman style. The nave roof is of 1607 style and the tub font is Norman.
