URPoint Details
As far back as the 1920 when the village blacksmith was busy at his anvil, the bakery was producing fine goodies, but all that is left now are some superb old houses and cottages with names like Old Dukes Head, the Old Bakery, the Old Forge and the Old Post Office. As the rectors moved on to smaller parishes the old rectories grow in number and one such house has now been renamed The Curatage to avoid confusion.
The church of the Holy Cross with its hammerbeam roof stands by the village green.
