URPoint Details
Remains of an 11th or early 12th century motte and bailey castle, and was known as the Castle of Eglemont (Eagle Mount). Situated on the edge of Totternhoe Knolls, it provided an excellent lookout point for the Saxons and was the reason the Norman's built their castle here.
