The civil parish includes Kings PyonWesthope and Ledgemoor. Canon Pyon, along with the other three parishes has a magazine, The Pyonear.

The Church of St Lawrence is mainly 13th and 14th century with a south tower. There is an octagonal Perpendicular font, some misericords and stalls with poppy-head carving.
