Calanais Standing Stones & Visitor Centre, (HES), 12m W of Stornoway off A859, Isle of Lewis. Open all year; Visitor Centre closed Sundays. Site open: Summer from 10am-7pm and Winter 10am-4pm. Car park; toilets;  exhibitions; refreshment facilities and shop. Disabled car park about 400 yards from the stones. All areas of the visitor centre and path around the stones are easily accessible. There is a tarmac path from the car park to the visitor centre and stones but it is on a gradient and help may be required.

A cross-shaped setting of standing stones, dating to around 3000 BC, unique in Scotland and outstanding in Great Britain. The Visitor Centre is managed by Urras nan Tursachan.
