URPoint Details
Thatched stone cottages cluster around the beach which is accessed by a narrow winding road.
South of the village is Devil’s Frying Pan, a huge basin of rock in the cliff which the tide enters. A cliff path leads about a mile north of the village to the pretty hamlet of Poltesco. By a stream stands an old water wheel, used to power machinery in the days when serpentine rock was quarried locally.
