URPoint Details
A beautifully situated village between Buttermere and Crumnock Water near the peaks of High Stile, High Crag and Robinson there is a path north leading to the Sourmilk Gill waterfall.
Further northwest is Crummock Water at 100ft is the highest waterfall in the Lake District and it is possible to walk all the way round the lake which is hemmed in by mountains and where at one point the walk goes through a tunnel in the cliff, the scenery is delightful through pine trees and bracken.
