URPoint Details
The extreme north point of the 'long island' is a lighthouse 120ft high and built by Thomas Stevenson father of Robert Louis Stevenson.
In the rocky point is a natural opening called the Eye of the Butt, legend has it that once the island lay far to the south but a tow rope through the 'eye' enabled a doughty jarl to where it is today.
