Burnham-on-Crouch - Mangapps Railway Museum

Open every weekend all year from 1pm to 6pm and Wednesday afternoons from Easter to end of September.

This museum is definitely worth a visit. Situated on a family run working farm has one of the largest collections of railway memorabilia including notices, posters, furniture, silver any many other interesting items. The station has railway buildings from all over East Anglia lovingly restored. The station yard has over wagons from the 1890's, 40 carriages and locomotives. In the fields behind the station there is plenty of free parking, and refreshments are served in a 1921 vintage carriage.
